CINEMA Plus at Atid
Sunday, December 15 - 5:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
5 DAYS WITHOUT NORA
Script and Direction: Mariana Chenillo, Mexico, 2010
This dramatic comedy tells the story of Nora and her plan so that José, her ex-husband, has to take care of her funeral after her suicide. Nora plans everything carefully before dying, causing a series of situations and tensions in the people around her, in which the tradition and values of each of them clash. A story with humor and an unexpected outcome that makes us reflect on the value of love and life.
Griefs are inevitable in our lives and in all cultures.
The plot will give us cause to reflect on how we process grief and on accompaniment from our Jewish community perspective.
The grieving processes are moments to let ourselves be cared for, to embrace the pain in the company of our loved ones.
We will see what strengths we can find in the networks that support us and that allow us to feel that we are not alone.
Accompanying the debate and joint reflection is Judith Altminc, member of Atid, Gestalt Therapist Specialist in Trauma.
We invite you to share this moment in community!
