Jewish Superheroes and Hanukkah: The Case of the X-Men
As part of our Hanukkah celebrations, we invite you to discover a unique and surprising facet of pop culture: the Jewish legacy in the world of superheroes.
Next Tuesday, December 12, at 6:00 p.m., at our Atid Jewish Community headquarters, Rabbi Irene Muzas will offer us a fascinating conference on the links between Jewish values and the history of the X-Men. We will explore how these characters, created by Jewish authors, embody themes such as the fight against discrimination, sacrifice and hope, so present in the history of our people.
Come learn how superheroes can also be a source of reflection on our identity and values, and celebrate with us a different and enriching Hanukkah. Don't miss it!
