Jevrot Workshop

Last Wednesday, members of our Jevra Kadisha attended a workshop at the Áltima Mortuary.
The session was led by Anwar, a training technician, with whom we learned and reviewed the facilities, the material we need for our work and the logistics of funeral services from the point of death to the burial.
In a theoretical part we learned about the anatomy of the met (body of the deceased).
And in the practical part they taught us movements to do our work with minimal effort and safe for our physical health, while treating the body of the deceased with maximum care and respect.

Many thanks to Sarai Roman, head of the Áltima Mortuary, who offered to give us this training.
