Lighting of the Sixth Hanukkah Candle in Plaça Sant Jaume

Once again this year the Chabad community of Barcelona celebrated the lighting of Hanukkah candles in Plaça Sant Jaume. On December 12, Rabbi Irene was invited to light the sixth Hanukkah candle along with representatives of the other Jewish communities of Barcelona, Jewish associations, as well as political representatives of the Generalitat of Catalonia and the Barcelona City Council.

This year's candle lighting was a show of harmony and unity of all communities, regardless of the current to which they belong, to flood the darkness that surrounds us with a little of our light.

We would like to especially thank the Chabad Lubabitch community of Barcelona and its rabbi David Liberson for their warm welcome and kind invitation.
