Absence of Atid in the commemoration of Holocaust victims

Dear Atid community,

We want to inform you that on January 27, Atid made the decision not to attend the commemoration of the victims of the Holocaust. This choice was based on fundamental principles of dignity and coherence.

Unfortunately, both the Generalitat and the City Council failed to dedicate a minute of silence for the recent terrorist attack perpetrated by the Hamas group against the civilian population of Israel. This simple gesture would have shown solidarity and respect for the lives affected.

Despite the repeated condemnations of Israel by local authorities, on no occasion was any mention made of the attack in question. Given this lack of equity and recognition of the situation, Atid considered that participation in the event would not adequately reflect the position and values ​​that we defend.
