THE B'NAI MITSVÁ GROUP VISITS the CALL
This traditional walk through the Call is offered by Dominique Tomasov to each promotion of B'nai Mitsvá.
It is a very participatory visit, in which each participant prepared some words about characters and moments in the Jewish history of Barcelona in the Middle Ages.
We have heard excellent contributions about prominent rabbis from the 11th to the 14th centuries, events and discoveries.
We were able to browse the Mocatta haggadah on a touch screen at the Call Interpretation Center.
In this link you can see the pages of the Barcelona Haggadah that is currently in the British Library in London.

It is worth returning to this annex of the MUHBA to see the other 13 haggadot made in Catalonia in the 14th century which are currently found in collections in Europe, Israel and the USA.

After the walk, some comments were: "What impressed me most was that some of the stones used in the constructions after the expulsion were recycled tombstones from Jewish cemeteries."
"I don't understand why, if kings invite Jews to settle in their kingdoms, then they expel them."
Thanks to Rabbi Irene for organizing this activity and for joining us.
And to Alan who joined this Noam group.
Hag Pesach Sameach!
