ALTIMA training sessions - Respect and care for the diversity of religions

The funeral services company Àltima organized a training course with the aim of building a more caring and enriching workplace in which its entire team in Catalonia understands in a deeper and more respectful way the religious diversity they encounter in their work. day to day.

The training included understanding the specific needs, ensuring that the various traditions are respected during the process, adapting the available spaces to facilitate rituals and personalizing the ceremonies, complying with religious protocols in accordance with the health law in Catalonia.

Representatives of the different religions (evangelists, Hindus and Sikhs, Islam and Judaism) presented according to a script carefully prepared by those responsible for Áltima, which included dealing with the families, the preparation of the deceased, the religious ritual, the ceremony and the burial. or cremation as the case may be.

Dominique Tomasov, head of our Jevra Kadisha, participated in the seven sessions of the program, in Barcelona, ​​L'Hospitalet and Girona.
