Board statement on October 1
From its origins, Jewish tradition has argued that dialogue is the most propitious vehicle for resolving differences, arriving at understandings and reaching agreements that allow both to resolve difficulties and sustain Peace.
In the civilized world in which we live, rationality is expected to prevail over violence, pain and conflict. It is certainly quite legitimate to hold different and sometimes conflicting ideas on the same issues.
Obviously Gd granted us the rationality and the gift of the word so that we make good use of it even in the most difficult situations, but yesterday in Catalonia, did not make a good use of this gift. Violence prevailed over rationality and sanity. It was not necessary.
From the ATID Community of Catalonia we strongly condemn the violent acts that occurred on 1 October.
The enrocation of the intransigent positions, only caused pain, separation and cracks between brothers, be they wherever they are, Catalans or Spaniards. Fortunately, it is still possible to amend.
May Gd enlighten our leaders to find the pertinent ways to resolve differences and allow us all to live in harmony and Peace.
The board of directors.
